An important mission of the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet, since its founding in 1975, has been to bring original ballets to children in their schools.

Each year, the youth ballet has carried this mission to more than 9,000 school age children throughout Northeast Ohio. CVYB dancers as well as parent volunteers give up their own school and work time to share their ballet performances with other school children. Prior to the performance, the CVYB provides teachers with an educational package designed to educate students about the ballet.

This season, CVYB will perform the following in-school performances:

• December 9: Rankin Elementary (Nutcracker Act II: Clara's Dream)
• January 11: Dover (Symphonic NANsense / Reach Out And Dance)
• February 10: Crestwood (Symphonic NANsense / Reach Out And Dance)
