An important mission of the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet, since its founding in 1975, has been to bring original ballets to children in their schools.

Each year, the youth ballet has carried this mission to more than 9,000 school age children throughout Northeast Ohio. CVYB dancers as well as parent volunteers give up their own school and work time to share their ballet performances with other school children.

In 2005-2006 season three ballets will be featured at our local in-school performances: Miss Spider's Tea Party, by James Sewell with original musical score by Sebastian Anthony Birch, I Love Shapes by Tom Evert with an original musical score by Sebastian Birch, and a new classical ballet by Karen Gabay. Prior to the performance, the CVYB provides teachers with an educational package designed to educate students about the ballet.
